German GfK January consumer sentiment index remains unchanged from December
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) German forward-looking GfK consumer sentiment index for January has remained unchanged from December with consum0ption at very weak levels according to the latest survey by the GfK institute of economic studies.
Consumer sentiment was flat at 2.1 points in January from December,, whose reading has been revised down from the previously estimated 2.2 points.
Economic expectations, according to the survey, have worsened to -32.4 in December from -30.1 in November, a reading well below the 23.6 points posted in December last year. Income expectations index has deteriorated to -15.4 in December from -6.9 in November.
